Job Purpose:

  • To provide shore support to vessels by handling their day to day operational issues in accordance with the company guidelines, port specific requirements, flag, and international regulations.
  • This involves the overseeing of the daily operations of vessels with specific importance given to Navigation, cargo, occupational health, safety, and environment aspects.
  • Ensuring that the vessels are operated in a safe and efficient manner, which will ensure reduced or zero incidents, and directly ensure satisfied clients and in line with our company’s QHSE policy, for a better and brighter development of business.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master Mariner – FG
  • Sailed as Master onboard Ocean-going vessels.
  • Vessel type: Bulk / Container Vessels

Roles & Responsibilities

The Marine superintendent is accountable for the following:

  • Compliance with company SMS procedures, forms, and checklists.
  • Compliance with IMO, Flag, and port state regulations.
  • MACN policy compliance.
  • Security related compliance.
  • Contingency assistance to the vessels at any time.
  • Ensure favourable results from PSC, Rightship, Flag, Class, P&I, third party inspections and audits.
  • Incident investigation, Root cause analysis and report making.
  • Extending hand to CMS for the compliance of Incident Investigations and RCA.
  • Carrying out and arranging of ISM/ISPS/MLC audits.
  • Ensuring that the vessels are technically managed keeping within the barriers of our SMS.
  • Ensure that the KPIs declared for the fleet are maintained.
  • Continual Improvement to be determined, monitored, and accomplished.
  • Any amendments needed in the SMS to be informed to the management.
  • Ensure to be a helping hand to the company and its team and a person to be looked upon.
